What are your tips on photographing models?
take up your sword asked:
I’d like to get a bit of practice photographing people (not just candid shots) as most of what I’ve done is landscape photography or like… plants, haha. I asked my friend and her boyfriend if I could take a few shots of them next week and so I’m just wondering if anyone could give me any tips about this sort of thing. Do I tell them the poses or should I just let them do their thing?
Thanks in advance!

I would start by letting them do poses that they want, then as the shoot progresses you can give them advice about how to stand and how their bodies should be, since you will be the one behind the camera, you will have a better idea of how the pictures should look. good luck
