You have a really good eye. The B/W photos really show your talent best. Not that I’m saying you shouldn’t shoot color. But all in all very nice.

Bland would be the best way to describe the shots. They’re trite. There’s nothing in them that’s interesting. Dull. Rubbish.

To answer your question, yes, you have excellent technical control. The shots “look” great, but I agree with AA2 to some extent- they are not that interesting. Not that the subjects are lacking, but there is no real ‘reason’ for many of them aside from taking a nice-looking shot, if you get my meaning. Here’s a link to an incredible photographer, who writes REALLY well on the artistic aspects of photography. Click on the book covers for examples of his work- he does everything on film, IN CAMERA, with NO Photoshop/computer manipulation- just absolute mastery of technique and amazing artistic vision.

Your photos look really good- develop a style and a niche and you could do well.

You are correct, having technical skills is not enough. Study what makes an image have impact for the viewer. Understand composition and how it leads the viewers eye around an image. I would recommend joining a camera club and listening to judges when they critique images.
