Any helpful tips to make my photography better? (pics)?
Big Bird Little Bird asked:
Please add constructive criticism. I know I still have a lot to work on and I have never learned how to use a camera or photoshop, hence I actually have very little experience, but do you think this will do for a beginner? I dread asking this question, but do you think I at least have a tiny bit potential for getting great photos one day? I know they’re nothing incredible or special, but I’d like to hear what exactly I should work on or things that would help me improve my skills from people more experienced in photography.

Your pictures look very nice, If you are just a beginner, than you have a lot of potential to become great. I think photography is one of the easier visual arts, and so you can become good. But I feel you are only as good as the equipment you own, so if you are missing a type of lens in your collection, or you don’t have the right type of lighting than you can’t take better pictures.
But for anyone who thinks photography is challenging, try to make videos, that’s like photography times 10 in difficulty.

First: Learn Photoshop. This can enhance your photography in amazing ways. If you can’t afford it, try Photoshop Elements or torrents.
You seem to have alot of B&W pieces. I’m not saying B&W photography doesn’t set a mood or a tone - but it’s usually a sad one. You can use a ton of colors to show more emotion through your photography, and I don’t mean just altering the hue - pair browns with blues or pinks and whites, warm/cold colors and layer attributes depending on what you’d like to reflect.
I do think you have potential, but you need more experience. Try not to take mundane photos; feet, plates, etc. unless you can correlate them to some metaphorical meaning. That’s the beauty of photography, getting a point across. Try staging a photoshoot, whether with a self-timer or a friend (or instead of people, something unusual and neat). Explore your camera. Come up with a theme (vintage, heartbreak, portrait) before you shoot and dress yourself/the room accordingly. A good place to start might be opposite a window so you could change the lighting easily.

I liked most of the photos which were shot outside. You do have some potential within you….but also I feel that you could do better…(depending on your age and skill level). Stick with the outdoor photography for now and try to find something interesting to photograph.
Overall good exposure, focusing and framing.
Keep practicing.
